Our fist meal was the OWL PANCAKE for our morning snack

The main feast:
PIZZA MICE FACES

ROASTED FOX
WRAPPED SNAKE
OWL CHICKS
SCRAMBLED SNAKE
To add to all this we added a LOGPILE HOUSE,
POISONOUS WARTS,
PURPLE PRICKLE JUICE and
FOXES' TEARS.
Snack before home time: CHEESY MICE and MOUSE TAILS
CHOCOLATE GRUFFALO and
GRUFFALO TUSKS with MOUSE DROPPINGS
The party continued the next day with GRUFFALO CRUMBLE
and OWL SCREECHES (lemon juice)
And finally OWL ICE CREAM and GRUFFALO CLAWS

Gruffalo - our class assembly

We all stand together!
We all stand together are the last words to the song, Frog's chorus. The words represent how Reception Bears have bonded together and have made such a fantastic team.

Here you can see Paul McCartney's song at the end of our dress rehearsal.

World Book Day

These were the ingredients for a great celebration:
We came dressed up as a character from a book.

Mr Hooley came to read "The Gruffalo" - one of the many stories we will be reading this term by Julia Donaldson.

You can hear the story:

In the afternoon Mr Padden and his class invited us down to Form 4P to listen to some stories. Thank you Form 4 - that was lovely.

Pyjama Day in Reception Bears

Our aim was to get a good day's sleep.      First of all we had a bedtime snack:       school made jam tarts,                           cottage biscuit                                               and milk.
Before going to bed we all brushed our teeth.
We had a bed time story.
We counted sheep.
We lay down in bed.
But we could not sleep - we had
too much energy so we rolled out of bed.
Jumped on the bed

Designed a nightie or a pair of pyjamas in ICT

Ate bananas in pyjamas

YUM!

One would have thought that going to sleep
would be an easy thing to do...

Reception Bears were able to raise over
100 Euros to sponsor fostering children
who do not have a family.
Thank you Bears!
